Family Bracelets Direct is family owned and operated. When you place an order with Family Bracelets Direct you can have the assurance that everything is handmade and checked twice because pride is taken in making every single bracelet. Mass amounts of bracelets are not made up ahead of time, but rather made individually according to your customized specifications. My guarantee: If you are not totally satisfied with your bracelet you have 30 days for a refund minus a $5 restocking fee. Customer satisfaction is very important!

What is the quality of these bracelets?

All bracelets from Family Bracelets Direct are made with the highest quality materials. Bracelet components are purchased from reputable suppliers who have been in business for many years. Our beads, clasps, and other jewelry components are made from: .925 sterling silver and 14K gold filled materials. I use 49 strand stainless steel wire which is nylon coated. This is the best quality stringing wire available. Each bracelet is individually laid by me to get the best placement for the beads. For multiple strands, extra care is taken to make sure that beads and sequences match up. Also, all Swarovski crystals are used for any birthstones in the Birthstone bracelets.

What type of gold beads do you use?

Family Bracelets Direct uses gold filled beads in the bracelets and watches, NOT gold plated materials. What is gold filled jewelry? Gold filled is a process of pressure bonding a thin layer of gold to a base metal core (usually brass). Gold filled (unlike gold plating) has an actual layer of gold, giving it more value and making it tarnish-resistant

What type of clasps do you have, and which is the strongest?

Currently I am making all bracelets with a toggle clasp except for the mother and daughter matching bracelets. Lobster claw clasps can be very secure, but are hard to clasp unless someone clasps it on for you. It can be done; I clasp my lobster clasp all the time. But, I find that most customers are prefering the toggle clasp because of the ease in using it. Therefore, all bracelets at this point will be made with a toggle clasp. If you, however, would like me to use a lobster claw clasp, simply note this on your order or e-mail me and I can make your bracelet with the lobster claw clasp instead.

Can I resize or redesign my bracelet?

I can resize or redesign your bracelet, even if I did not make it. If you need to resize your bracelet or you would like to change your bracelet style or beading options I am happy to do this. The fee for this is $5 which covers restringing and return shipping. If you decide you do want to resize, restring, etc. you will need to e-mail me from the Contact Link and let me know what changes need to be made. I will then give you instructions on where to send the bracelet.

Can I add charms to my customized bracelet?

Definitely! Any charm you can image is available to add on to your bracelet. If you have a charm in mind, e-mail me from the contact page and I will give you a price of the charm you are inquiring about. Normally charms are no more than $2-$4 dollars.

Can I send my bracelet back and add another strand on after my baby is born?

As your family grows, you will want to add your loved ones names to your bracelet! Contact me by e-mail from the Contact Link and let me know you would like to send your bracelet to me to add an additional strand. After I know exactly what needs to be added I will bill you the appropriate charges according to if it is the second strand, third, and so forth. You can find these prices on the page where your bracelet was purchased. Normally this will be either $35 or $30 per strand that is being added.

Can I have two names on one strand?

Yes! Just added is the Double Name Bracelets. If you prefer to keep your bracelet more simple, but have several names you would like on the bracelet, the double name mother bracelet is the way to go. You can have two names on each strand and birthstones on each side of the name. So, you could actually have 4 names on a bracelet, and it would only be two strands.

How do I know what size to order?

There are two different ways that you can determine the correct size for your name bracelet. 1.) Measure a favorite bracelet from end to end. 2.) Measure around the wrist and add 1/2 inch to 1 inch depending on how loose or tight you want to wear your bracelet. Here are the sizes and guidelines: (Baby/Child)- 4 inches...Newborn-3 months old; 4 1/2 inches...3-9 months old; 5 inches...9-24 months old; 5 1/2 inches...2-3 yrs. old; 6 inches...5-8 years old; (Adult)- 6 1/2 inches...very tiny; 7 inches...small; 7 1/2 inches...average; 8 inches...large. Remember-these are guildlines and the most accurate way to find the correct size is to measure your wrist or measure a favorite bracelet.
